“When we grow as individuals, then the people and things around us grow as well, creating an environment for us all to grow together.”

Book is a guide on how to accomplish quality bartending. My work isn’t focused solely on experienced bartenders,

students are part of the target group. By including potential new bartenders, this book wishes to push the upcoming

students into a broader, more creative mindset. The book itself is divided into 3 main sections - theory, practical part

and legacy from the best bartenders in Slovakia. Theory, contains the basics and building blocks that allow the

development of a professional approach, it also focuses on how to present yourself and how to take care of guests.

Whereas in the practical section, readers will be able to learn to price a cocktail and to effectively go through a

structured creative process. Other chapters also include gastrophysics and neurogastronomy. In other words how an

aroma, a physical characteristics, a sound as well as visual stimulation affect the final flavour of a cocktail, and create a

comprehensive and unforgettable experience for guests.

Apart from the already mentioned above, readers can indulge in the definitions of 20 modern ingredients that the I work

with when creating cocktails - cherries, ginger, purple carrots and raspberry leaves... The books cocktail section, boasts

20 Classics with a twist. Within this section I emphasise the importance of mastering the basics and understanding

renowned world classics. Because of their popularity, many still hold fast in a variety of modern adaptations, 20 of which

the reader can find within Signatures in The Cocktail Balance. Drinks presented under this section, include a multitude

of small, unique and independent liquor brands from all over the world. Other than drinks, the practical chapter involves

an introduction to bar tools, technology, and preparation techniques which encompass working with ice. These

introductions do not miss out on describing techniques, instructions and recipes for original cocktails. The Cocktail

Balance is a book that pushes the boundaries of creativity.
